Wayne Lim, President & Group Chief Editor of MALAYSIA SME MEDIA GROUP has been actively involved with the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) community for more than 30 years.

His involvement with the MSME community began when he started his career with Singapore Yellow Pages. There he started the SMI Business Directory with the SMI Association of Malaysia in 2001 and ever since, he has been deeply involved in the business of MSMEs.

He founded the MALAYSIA SME® Media Group in 2005 and subsequently conceptualized the MALAYSIA SME® media brand.

Within 3 years he propelled the group from being the publisher of a single SME directory to becoming an established SME media corporation in Malaysia.

In the course of his business endeavours, he has always kept abreast and connected to the MSME community; along which, he acquired in-depth understanding of their trends and challenges. He regularly champions for MSMEs to be recognised and assisted on a same level of playing field with large corporations.

Wayne is well connected with the advertising, public relation (PR) industries and understands what is required to create an impactful PR exercise and a specialist in crisis management. He is currently investing a substantial amount of his time in developing an ESG framework for MSMEs to be ESG-ready.

He is an avid sport entrepreneur and when he is not ‘thinking’ and 'breathing' MSMEs, he invests most of his time in sports and exercising. Wayne is an avid football fan and an active social golfer. He is a FAM certified football coach and also a professional golf coach certified by UTM.
